Opportunities to present research

An important part of the scholarly process is to share the results of ones work with others; after all if you are the only one that knows something it is not yet useful to the world at large.  A few of opportunities to share your work at relatively close venues are coming up.

The first is the Blue Ridge Undergraduate Research Conference, which will be held in Maryville, TN on March 25th.   I am not sure if they are still accepting abstracts but you can contact Mardi Craig, the associate dean there for more information or send me (R. Bachman) an email and I will send you the registration document.

The second is the Tennessee Academy of Sciences Middle Division Collegiate Meeting for Undergraduate Research, which will be hosted by Belmont University on April 16.  Abstract for this meeting are due March 25th and information can be found at http://frank.mtsu.edu/~tnacadsc/annualMeeting/index.html

The other event is our very own Scholarship Sewanee, which will be April 29th this year.  It will feature prizes (still to be determined) for both talks and posters.  More info soon!
